How many types of SCADA are there?

1. First generation, early, or monolithic SCADA systems were standalone and unconnected. This constrained their reach to activities like sensor monitoring and emergency alerting.
2. Multiple systems might be controlled using second-generation distributed SCADA systems.
3. Third-generation networked SCADA systems communicated through phone or data lines, with ethernet or fibre optics employed for data transmission.
4. Fourth-generation SCADA systems for the Internet of Things
